NATURAL WILD RICE (MANOOMIN) AND TEA
TIPI HORSE is an industry-leading certified Indigenous and Woman-owned wild rice and artisanal tea company headquartered on Lake Helen Reserve, an Ojibwe First Nation in Northwestern Ontario, with a satellite office in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
TIPI HORSE has created and produces a first-of-its-kind wild rice tea using its proprietary roasting process. ManoominCha™ “wild rice tea” is a fusion of flavours, cultures, languages, and ancient superfood ingredients. Our unique tea blends satisfy the need for a healthy hot or cold beverage without sugar, artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
Both historically and presently, Indigenous Peoples and Women are unacceptably under-represented in the wild rice and tea sector. We aim to overcome this exclusion and gain significant status within these industries while pursuing opportunities that leave our mark on the communities that we work in. Additionally, we will open the door for other Indigenous Peoples and Women who intend to or already work in these industries.
Our approach to business relationships is to build partnerships and collaborations that centre around the foundational worldview of the ethical space of engagement. Our actions and approaches when interacting with all people are rooted in the ethic of doing ALL things in a “Good Way” – mino bimaadiziwin. The Land, the People, and all our Relations are sacred, and as such, all of our subsequent actions are based on this premise and protocols.
